This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the dimensional and constructional requirements and test methods for pliable metal conduits for the protection of wires and/or cables used in electrical installations or in communication systems up to 1 000 V a.c. and/or 1 500 V d.c. (hereafter also referred to as conduits).
This Standard provides requirements and test methods for Class 2 pliable metal conduits.
NOTE Annex A provides as information the dimensional and constructional requirements for Class 1 pliable metal conduits.
Class 1 pliable metal conduits, though once in demand, are only scarcely distributed today.
