This part of EN 1337 specifies the requirements for the design and manufacture of pot bearings with elastomeric pads up to 1500 mm in diameter that will be used for operating temperatures between -25 °C and 50 °C. Bearings which are subjected to tensile loads and rotation greater than 0,045 rads are beyond the scope of this European Standard. The accomodation of translational movements of structural elements is dealt with in EN 1337-2.
