The standards DIN EN ISO 11201, DIN EN ISO 11202 and DIN EN ISO 11204 describe procedures for determining emission sound pressure levels at the workplace and at other precisely defined locations in the immediate vicinity of a machine or device. With the method defined in DIN EN ISO 11204, results of accuracy class 2 or 3 are achieved - depending on compliance with specified requirements for external noise and the measurement environment. The measurements can be carried out directly at the place of use of the machines and equipment (in situ).
