Spray booths for organic coating material - Safety requirements

The document EN16985 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events relevant to spray booths for the application of organic liquid and powder coating materials. The document combines the requirements from EN 12215, EN 12981 and EN 13355 and will replace these European Standards after completion of the revision process. The specific significant risks related to the use of spray booths with foodstuff and pharmaceutical products are not dealt with in this document. This document is not applicable to: - Spraying areas (spaces for application of organic coating materials which are limited only by one side wall used for exhaust ventilation), - Platforms attached to spray booths (e. g. for touch up coating jobs), - Walls of spray booths, if they are part of a building, - Flock booths.
