This is a revision of BS EN 61439-2:2011 which has been fully revised to reflect advances in digital interfaces and equipment. The main changes are:

• Addition of Annexes DD, EE and FF for assemblies for use in photovoltaic networks
• Clarification of the requirements for forms of separation
• Alignment with the structure of IEC 61439-1, Ed. 3
• Addition of temperature rise verification for:
• Assemblies with natural cooling and circuits rated above 1600A by a combination of comparison with a tested design and calculation
• Assemblies with active cooling and rated currents up to 1600A
• General editorial revisions and improvements
